VertaCure PLP vacuum curing for low-warpage panel processing

Yield Engineering Systems · Process equipment and thermal control

Purpose
Temperature and solvent-removal histories during panel polymer cure affect film stress and subsequent outgassing. This vacuum-cure platform supports comparing polyimide/PBO cure and process conditions.
Technical approach
Reduced pressure, vertical laminar flow, heating/cooling and recipe control support polymer cure and pre-metal degassing. Automated loading and batch modules handle panels, with the thermal history tailored to the material.
Scope of use
Named uses include PLP, polyimide/PBO, low-temperature polymers and D2P/hybrid-bonding cure. The brochure table lists 510 × 515 mm, 410 × 515 mm and smaller panels; current sizes and carriers need confirmation.
Limitations and open questions

These evaluation considerations are compiled by BLNKK from public information. They are not supplier guarantees or a mandatory submission checklist.

Scope and limitations

Recipe, material and panel support require joint validation; improvement ratios from another model cannot be transferred. The brochure does not define the measurement state of “Warpage ≤3 mm one side,” so it is not a guaranteed post-cure result.

What to prepare

BLNKK recommends preparing panel dimensions, materials/film thicknesses, soft-bake/cure histories, carriers and thermal budgets. Include existing cure, outgassing, stress and warp measurements to plan controlled comparisons.

Confirm with the supplier

Confirm current sizes/carriers, temperature/pressure windows, nitrogen/cooling options, uniformity and throughput validation. Ask the supplier to define the warpage entry, measurement state and material conditions before agreeing acceptance criteria.

Public evidence
The 2022 PLP brochure documents configuration and applications; the 2019 white paper explains polyimide vacuum-cure principles. Its quantitative comparison uses YES-PB12 and specific material conditions, not PLP performance qualification.
