AMPS high-power parallel burn-in
AEM Holdings · Reliability qualification and failure analysis
- Purpose
- Accelerated electrical-stress testing of high-power packages requires control of device power and temperature. AMPS-BI provides the AMPS platform’s parallel burn-in capability for evaluating screening flows.
- Technical approach
- Per-device instruments, power management and multi-zone intelligent thermal control support asynchronous testing and pattern changes. Burn-in boards, sockets and test configurations must match the device.
- Scope of use
- The system targets AI processors, HPC and other advanced high-power packages. Confirm power, current, channels, format and contacts for the configuration; system-level test and other upgrades are not automatically included.
- Limitations and open questions
These evaluation considerations are compiled by BLNKK from public information. They are not supplier guarantees or a mandatory submission checklist.
Scope and limitationsBurn-in screening is not full reliability qualification or direct measurement of power-cycling thermal-resistance degradation. Maximum power, current and channel counts are not necessarily simultaneous; confirm how controlled temperature relates to junction temperature.
What to prepareBLNKK recommends preparing package dimensions, socket/contact needs, test programs, power variation and target stress duration. Include temperature references, screening coverage and failure criteria to plan configuration validation.
Confirm with the supplierConfirm simultaneous device count, per-device power/current/channel configuration and temperature-control location. Discuss junction-temperature correlation, contact reliability, pattern changes, traceability and optional upgrades.
- Public evidence
- The website and AMPS-BI brochure document parallel electrical stress, multi-zone thermal control and individual-device operation. They do not qualify screening coverage, junction temperature or complete reliability for a customer product.
